  • “Client,” “you,” “your” refers to the person or entity purchasing products or services from Intelligent Home Systems.

  • “Products” refer to smart home automation components, devices, and systems supplied by the Company.

  • “Services” refer to consultation, design, installation, configuration, and maintenance provided by the Company.

 

2. Scope of Services

  • Intelligent Home Systems provides home and commercial automation solutions, including lighting, climate, security, audio-visual, solar integration, and energy management.

  • All services are provided based on agreed proposals, quotes, and written contracts.

 

3. Orders & Payment

​

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment terms are outlined in invoices and must be strictly adhered to.

  • Products remain the property of Intelligent Home Systems until payment is received in full.

 

4. Installation & Use

​

  • Products must be installed by Intelligent Home Systems or authorized partners to ensure functionality, warranty, and support.

  • The Company is not responsible for malfunctions caused by unauthorized installation, modifications, or third-party work.

 

5. Refunds & Returns

​

  • Refunds apply only to defective parts installed by Intelligent Home Systems as outlined in our Refund Policy.

  • Non-defective products, software licenses, and services (consultation, design, installation, configuration, or maintenance) are non-refundable.

 

6. Warranty

​

  • Products are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, provided installation was performed by Intelligent Home Systems.

  • Warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification by our technical team.

  • Damage caused by power surges, environmental factors, or misuse is not covered.

 

7. Maintenance & Support

​

  • Regular maintenance is not required unless specified by the manufacturer.

  • Support services may be offered under a separate agreement or service-level contract.

 

8. Client Responsibilities

​

  • The Client must provide accurate information regarding project requirements, property conditions, and access for installation.

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, building codes, and approvals where required.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

​

  • Intelligent Home Systems shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.

  • Liability for defective products or services is strictly limited to the value of the affected item or service.

 

10. Intellectual Property

​

  • All content, branding, designs, and documentation provided by Intelligent Home Systems remain the intellectual property of the Company.

  • Clients may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute Company content without written consent.

 

11. Privacy & Data Protection

​

  • Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Intelligent Home Systems may use anonymized project data for internal research and marketing purposes.

 

12. Termination

​

  • Either party may terminate a project or contract with written notice if the other party breaches these Terms.

  • Cancellation fees may apply for work already performed or products ordered.

 

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

 

14. Updates to Terms
